Early Project Work: Las Crucitas

One week in the field is in the books!

This week I spent my time in the foothills of Mombacho working on some exciting new projects for CES. Typically we sell our high impact goods through local entrepreneurs. These entrepreneurs typically travel a great deal to provide rural people access to our goods. In this region of Nicaragua we are piloting a new project, fixed sales points. I spent this week working with interns to conduct trainings of local tiendas, pharmacies, and other fixed sales points. We taught them how to give eye exams this week, and will be teaching them about solar and water filter products this coming week.

In addition to that we supported three entrepreneurs in a village access campaign this week. At the very worst, we helped 15 people see up close for the first time in years! Here's to better campaign success in the coming weeks!
